CONTINUOUS CHLORIDE REMOVAL
The Upton automatic, continuous type, chloride removal conveyor
is designed for on-going removal of high temperature chloride
based salts from the quenching salt media. Nitrate/nitrite quenching
salts can become contaminated by excessive amounts of carry-over
high temperature chloride base salts affecting quench severity.,
and this unit provides an effective engineered solution to this
maintenance requirement.
CHLORIDE PRECIPITATION CHAMBER DESIGNS
The chloride conveyor is designed for mounting within the quench
furnace settling chamber. This separation chamber allows for
the chlorides to precipitate from the bath and settle onto the
conveyor, for continuous removal from the bath.
MINIMIZED MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS
This continuous mechanized system removes excess chloride salts
minimizing maintenance and associated equipment down-time. The
unit is also designed for removal from the furnace for further
ease of maintenance

Our in-house engineering and manufacturing allows Upton to custom
design furnaces and systems to a customers process and specification
requirements, rather than attempting to provide to you standard
to pre-design equipment, as some of our competitors would attempt
to do. Follow-up technical services are available for all Upton
thermal process systems.
